Scott relocated to Michigan in 2004 with his family following his dedicated service of 11 years in the United States Air Force, where he reached the rank of Captain. He initially served as an enlisted member, stationed at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology located in Washington DC. During that time he earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland in Microbiology. Upon his commission, he earned his second Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree at the University of Nebraska, and spent the remainder of his service as a staff Physician Assistant. He is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
Dr. Brian Mahany attended undergraduate at the University of Notre Dame, where he received his B.S. in Biology. He then attended medical school at Des Moines College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Michigan State University from 1986-1989. Dr. Mahany is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association as well as the American College of Physicians. He is past Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at McLaren Greater Lansing Medical Center, and maintains his private practice in Internal Medicine in Lansing, MI.
